101 in 1001
So…poking around the ineternet as one does, I came across a
number of 101 in 1001 lists and thought it was a pretty funky idea.
Essentially it is a list of tasks (101 obviously) that you assign
yourself with the intent to complete them within 1001 days (about 2.75
years). This should allow enough time for even major adventures such as
overseas traval etc to be a realistic goal. More information on the idea can be found
here: triplux
Coming up with 101 tasks was actually more difficult
that I thought it would be. I have to be realistic and being in the
final year of my doctorate studies means at least one year (more likely
18months) will have little time available for goals not realted
directly to my work. That being said though I have come up with 101
(these may be altered under revision) that I am happy with and believe
to be mostly obtainable.
The intention is to keep a track of how I go in my blog and mark the tasks from this list as they are achieved.
