Well after many weeks of trying to get some time in on this beauty I finally managed it on sunday.

She was started before christmas but hasn’t had much attention. I am constantly surprised in the amount of 819 baby pink in this design too especially for a grey scale image. When you look at the top four rows though , where all the colours are in it has a greyish hue. So I will as always trust in Micheles charting and continue with what will surely one day be a masterpiece :p

Ta da! progress
879 stitches in … not too bad for just two partial days stitching over two weeks. All told that brings me to 0.53% complete. So far to go but it really is an enjoyable stitch. I have loads of inspiration too thanks to Di’s amazing WIP There are still a few colours I haven’t picked up yet so I am having to stitch around them. It means that I am not really parking with this yet… which always makes me nervous that I will end up having to frog a portion.
So far so good though… now off to dust off Scotland

Not a huge amount of progress this week but I did manage more along the snow drift at the bottom. Currently I am undcecided if I will contiue with this piece as my over two for fridays in Feb or swap out to one of my other projects. I still hope to get Rose of Sharon finished by May so I will need to get back to her soon.
My weekends are proving to be too busy lately for any decent amount of stitching time which makes progress on things like St Nick slow. I am thinking I may have to re-jig my rotation but will give it another week to be sure. I still have to update St Nicks progress for this week too, didn’t quite meet my quota again but made better progress than last week. Will post updated piccies later tonight.

This is my update after two weeks in the SAL. I got  few more hours to work on it this time, though I am still only working on it wed nights after work. Total stitches done is now 828 making it 2.7% complete

It is so tempting to keep working on this piece but I am making myself stick to working on it just during the mid-week stitch along. Besides I have a RR section I really need to finish. Thankfully today is a holiday so I should get a decent amount of stitching time on it and hopefully get a look in again at the devil.

Well Sunday went pretty much the way of the dodo where stitching was concerned. Boardgames n BBQ days are sure going to eat into my weekend stitching time but are well worth it for the good company and conversation.
I did manage a few stitches in my RR section though and hope to have it finished before the weekend (heh) so I can concentrate on St Nick and actually get Scotland out for a looksie.
Tonight starts the first full week of the new rotation with Devil up to be worked on for the next two days.
I really love the colours in this piece and hope that working on it as a focus will have it progressing quickly.

I also managed to increase my chart collection this weekend with the help of some naughty individuals and a lovely gift from Michele. I am feeling all very lucky and spoilt at the moment. I am incredibly lucky to have wonderful friends.

Not much done… life got in the way and nowhere near the 800 stitches I was hoping for. It is a total of 280 stitches which makes a whopping 0.17% of the total 163800 stitches to be done. It is a start though and I am loving this fabric. I have a few colours I am missing from the first page that I will have to pick up though so I can fill in the holes.
All in all this shoudl be a fun piece to stitch and unlike most of my other HAED wips there is no background so it is straight into the picture for a change

Day two of my rotation is now complete and I have to put this away for now. My stitching time today will be very limited and I need to spend it on the RR so Scotland is not likely to see the light of day this week.. next week though she will be full steam ahead.

Well I am off to print off my chart for St Nick . I was originally going to start this in March but the more time I get the better. I have 4 years to stitch this as it is a present for a really wonderful friends 60th Birthday and although four years seems like a long time the size of this design means I will still need to stich about 3000 stitches a month on it and that may not always be possible.
So best get started sooner rather than later.
I have enough threads to get started and my ever so wonderful floss fairy is going to kit this up for me soon too.

Getting out of the house and away from where I will check if there are any new releases from HAED today will be good too, also have to get some 951 for the RR section I am doing… could have sworn I had some but can’t find it for the life of me.
Oh well…

I started this while on holiday in Canada over December. It is meant to be a keepsake of sorts for myself and my dear friend that drove us all about Canada while we were there.

The snowman and half of the first dragon were completed while I was away so today I managed to finish of the cross stitch for the rest of the dragon and start some of the back stitching as well as get a little done on the ground cover.
The picture is a little dark and not as clear as I thought but you can at least see the shinies in the fabric.

Okay so I took stock of all my works in progress, and Eeeeep! there are just too many.
There are a number of pieces I want to start but really I can’t justify it with all the ones I have on the go. For the most part they are still deasigns I want to finish or that are for gifts so I am not ready to relegate the to UFO status.

This leaves me with the rotation option. I have tried rotating through projects before with … some… success and I am hoping it will allow me to finish at least a few things off in 2006.
