Getting ready for a new start
My Stitching bits and bobs order arrived yesterday so I have all the silkies for the Dragon Dreams Lost Dragon Sampler. I have decided to stitch it on the same fabric as the evening dragon I jsut finished as I think all the bright greens and deep purples will just look scrummy on it. I plan to start it inbetween doing stuff on Aredhel this weekend. I took a piccie of the pretty threads and fabby too. I can’t wait to get it started .. and finished. He is just so cute and I even think I know how I will do the finishing… I have some gorgeous purple velvet that will make a great backing fabric / edging for a bell pull style thingy.
The other thing I forgot that was in the package was a yard (yes a yard) of Queen Annes lace 32ct Jobelan that I was going to use for Chatelaines Japanese Garden. It is a lovely light neutrtal colour. But since Nancy sent me this huge silkweaver solo for my Round Robin I have been looking at it thinking maybe the solo would work well for japanese garden. I will decide what fabric I am going to do my Round robin on once my taupo gets here from country stitch (should be early this coming week) and then make my final decision on Japanese garden.
YUMMMMMMMM
what is the colour of the purple and green mix one at the bottom of the pic next to the black??
it looks wonderful
the whole thing i can’t wait to see it stitched.,…
i must buy that chart must must must
That would be Havana. It is a fantastic mix of bright green and bright blue that morphs onto a glorious shade of purple.
I thought you would like it. Hmm I shoudl pop a length of it in the post so you can see it in person. You are plotting for the uber gurple sampler of yours?
lol…
guess what arrived today… my skein of havana for the patchwork sampler… thought it looked familiar…
isn’t it beautiful!
Yay.. I am so glad you got some it is so glorious I am loving stitching with it. Yep I started my little lost dragon guy and am already half way through!
sometimes I marvel at my incomprehensible butchering of the english language.
I popped over here to ask if the lovely purple/green/blue silk was Havana and I see that it is. I love that color mix and it is not so easy to find a use for it (I did use it for the letter in a gift for my sister). I guess that settles it, I simply must have this sampler!
