Here Kitty Kitty Kitty

Dreamworld was fantastic. Even with the overcast rainy weather. At least the rain decreases the number of people willing to run around an amusement park getting sopping wet. Not me though hehe. by the end of the day I had been on the big drop, the claw (5 times) and the cyclone as well as most of the other rides on offer. I am such a ride junkie.

Probably the biggest hilight of the day though was the tigers at the Tiger Island presentation. Pretty Kitties!

I had thought about us all going and having our photos taken (you get 15 mins with the tiger, you get to touch it etc etc and have a slew of pictures taken for up to a group of four). At $395 for 15 mins though sanity kicked in and I decided not to. I didn’t want the photos I just wanted to touch the kitty!

Anyway here is a selection of my favourite pics from the day. More can be found here (you can see larger images in the gallery if you click on them too) and Nic I have loads more if you want to oggle piccies of the big cats 🙂

And my favourite of the day probably: Sleepy Dingos

The Claw! hehe. It was an absolutely fantastic day, even with the rainy bits. Actually… probably moreso because of the rainy bits.

The tigers, of course, were gorgeous. I’ve always loved wildlife, though I often find zoos and the like depressing in ways, as the animals are in captivity. Like the wolves in Canada. 🙁 I didn’t get that vibe from Dreamworld at least… and it was amusing to see the cats be all disobiedent and unruly at times. 😛

Thank you so much for an absolutely incredible holiday. Before too long we’ll be planning the next one. 😉

TIGERS!!!! wow, gorgeous. I love the photo of the one standing up – he’s HUGE! Beautiful. I’d have probably paid the money – I have a tiger thing. Well, a big cat thing actually 🙂 That’s expensive though. You can cuddle tigers for a lot less over here 😉 Have you touched one? They feel like wool 🙂

Ooh, Kitties! I’m really going to have to visit that temple aren’t I? At least you get more than 15min and lots of cuddles. Sounds like you all had a great day though.

Have a great trip home Adam!

I’m not looking forward to the trip back, especially with all the fun I’ve been having lately. 🙁 I still find it odd that I will be arriving at the airport in Los Angeles at a time of day before I left Brisbane. 😛 And the colder temperatures will be nice.

It was a joy getting to meet you finally though, Nic. And you are in so much trouble for the huge box of chocolate goodies. 😛

Kitties! I’d still be standing there staring at them adoringly. We went to the Big Cat Rescue Reserve in Tampa (I’ll have to put up some pictures of that)and it was amazing! The cats were all healthy and happy and chuffed happily at all of the volunteers there. Some of the stories of their rescues were heartbreaking but it was wonderful to see how happy and healthy they all were.

You look cute behind bars, Vicky! 😉

Did you see did you see? My favoritest JBG is out! *bounces all over the place* I’m getting floss together this week!! One of those biiiig red eyes takes up nearly half a page! I’m sooooooo excited! I’m gonna stitch a JBG! I’m gonna stitch a JBG! *bounces some more*

The kitties were just gorgeous I wanted to take one home! I have been told though that Australia Zoo (of Steve Irwin fame) does a cuddle the tiger experience for much cheaper than dreamworld.
In dreamworlds defence it is also a photo shoot and they provide a number of prints inclusive to the price. I’m just not that much of a photos of me kind of person and just want to cuddle the kitties!
Or seeing as you have pointed out it is cheaper to do over there Nicki I may just have to wait until I am back in NZ, I need to go visit family over there anyway I can just add tigers in too 😀

When I saw your pic of the sleeping dingoes, I thought to myself, what’s Tikki doing there? Tikki is our dog (“desert dog”) we adopted earlier this year, and that’s exactly how she curls up to sleep. We always said she looks like a dingo!

Great pics of the tigers – is Dreamworld home of the white tiger? I remember buying white tiger stuffed toys for my munchkins when we visited there about six years ago 🙂

    Mel Tikki sounds so cute.
Dreamworld is indeed the place with the white tiger (he is the one up the tree). He was in the show the day we were there and provided quite a lot of entertainment in his reluctance to bother with some of the behaviours they were trying to show off. He is 12 years old now and father to the other two tigers in the show as well as two others 🙂
It had been 18 years since I was last at dreamworld and boy had it changed lol.
